ive lost 2 good bases in one day because of noobs using ladders and spears to get into my base.
its litteraly impossible to build a ladder proof base, theres always one way and i found out 5 minutes ago when i lost my best base yet to 3 dudes with ladders and spears.
it took 3 hours to build the base as safe as possible from ladders from my experience earlier today. still these guys manage to put a ladder on the edge of a roof and get in.
im done with rust until ladders cant be placed in the cupboard radius.
even in server people complain 24/7 about their bases being raided and covered in ladders and they have a good reason to.

and try maybe puting ceilings or floors outside of your base like to block them to getting to the top unless you can place a ladder and climb upside down

trust me, i did.
i thought of ways to block ladders for an hour or so and put ceilings on the side and didnt use pillars on the edges AND then i put barricades on top of those ceilings but they still managed to put one on my stairway entrance somehow. me and a friend held em off with bows for 10 minutes but when they did get in it was game over. And now 5 min later here i am writing this because im tired of this happening.

Yeah, it's pretty gamebreaking. The best you can do is make a cave base. Use triangle foundations if the normal ones won't work inside the cave. Make sure all internal walls reach the ceiling, and have gaps between different walls.

INB4: l2p noob, build better, overhangs, barricades, "now rockbases are vulnerable!" (they were before...)

Love all the clan raiders that can't even play the game without help (sorry, I have no respect for non-lonewolves) acting like they know how to build a good base, and defending ladders.

Super dumb to make ladders beyond building privileges. It makes no sense and the "play-testing is what you’re doing" tag line does not cancel the stupid from this idea. I stopped playing the game when it was possible to do a work-around to build inside the cupboard zone. No way I'm coming back to this nor would I recommend it to anyone. The more they "improve" the game the less you can make progress in it.

Ladders are awesome, it doesn't need to be fixed :). This game isn't meant to be easy.

We run a community driven server. If the community wants certain changes we make them to the server. Right now it has ladders blocked from crafting, but you can still get them in loot crates, barrels and air drops only. And they are rare finds. If the sever wants to get rid of them entirely or require build right privileges I'll change the server.

okay for all of you whining over ladders consider this:
ladders didnt stack up walls infinite.
ladders could be built inside building privledges but only one stair up from floor on a wall...
that way it would make most stone bases raidable but it wouldnt make it easy to just climb on top of any roof... it would also take away the purpose of unupgrades stairs as if you get inside you get up as long as you break the floor near a wall... this wouldnt be as gamebreaking no mather how you look at it... thats how ladders should have been.... sadly they are just broken and annoying in their current itteration.
