PLZ HELP…RUST control configuration not working, Primary and Secondary Fire (NOT LEGACY)
As i have always been using the Apple magic mouse for most of my time playing rust, i have had to change the fire button to Q as you can't aim down and fire using the apple magic mouse. I now have a new mouse that is normal and want to change the controls back to default hence Mouse0 fire and Mouse1 Aim, HOWEVER this is not working it just says…Press the button or key for “Primary Fire” and a loading sign next to it. I can press buttons on the keyboard for it however not on the normal mouse. (NOT LEGACY)

I have tried reinstalling it and trying to do it manually, but this has not worked.

PLZ HEELLLLPPP GUYSSS!!!

Did you clicked the small window with the mouse when you try to change the keybind?

So you clicked the small window with mouse which asks you to press button which you want to bind it to?

It should change the keybind when you click it, not sure if it works differently on mac.

I've had this same issue. When the small window appears, I try to click within the small window that appears but it doesn't recognize my mouse click. This is what I am seeing when I'm trying to click... http://gyazo.com/b37867d27b89be2864f35f06d1c6cd5a

Is there a special location within this box: http://gyazo.com/61f46af223cbd217005c6f60f7bae5c7
That am Not clicking?

Matabus that is my exact problem, just make sure you don't try it out on the secondary fire button otherwise that can't be changed back either, btw i have no idea how to put it back to normal

Did you delete the folder when you uninstalled it ? It may have left your cfg file and just removed games files

Ok but go into your program files then search for steam then steam apps then common and delete the rust folder then reinstall and it will reset the binds or at least on pc it will not sure about mac but its probs the same

Delete local content doesnt always remove save files and cfg incase you reinstall

So i tried going through steam to locate the game files on my machine. I found them, I deleted them, and then I uninstalled the game from steam. I reinstalled it, and its still the same problem.

I got the solution:
1. Open the terminal
2. Copy & paste the following and press enter: sudo rm /private/var/db/BootCaches/PreheatedUser/app.unity.Facepunch\ Studios\ LTD.Rust.playlist
3. Enter your user password and press enter
4. Copy & paste the following and press enter: rm ~/Library/Preferences/unity.Facepunch\ Studios\ LTD.Rust.plist
5. Restart your computer (do not launch Rust before doing so!)

Ok thank you, isn't using the sudo command quite risky??
