Players render distance

So I play with my friend and we notice he sees players from further distance than me. This give real advantage in game so i wounder what could be the reason and can I somehow fix or incrase my render distance of players. The f2 option render distance doesnt affect it anyhow.

I really need help with that, i see animals from far away but a guy who run next to me dissapear in not so far distance, just vanishing.

maybe he has the game set on fantastic or a much better quality than yours from the start menu ( the first window that opens when u run rust)

well yes he does, he got better pc. but if thats the reason it shouldn't give advantage to the game. player render distance should be fixed same for everyone. i try to play on fantastic and update what i notice.
