Rust keeps on crashing when I join a server. HELP

Why is it when I join a Rust server, everytime it crashes
btw this is on the new rust

Ok for everyone have this problem this is what i did ok. Open steam. top left corner click on steam.click on check for steam client updates.it should say its up to date then it maybe pop up a thing that says run as administrator i did that and now it works fine tell me if it helps u to

I have this same problem. Crashing at receiving data with no error messages or whatsoever. Just returns me to desktop. Happened after a patch from yesterday to me =/ Got over 100+ hours played ingame so it's not my computer.
Anyone got anything I can try with to get it working again?

Open the Rust, F1 and type "terrain.pvt false" without " ".

FOLLOW THESE STEPS SON

1. Find your NVIDIA Control Panel
-Just Right click on the Desktop and find NVIDIA control panel and Click it

2. In the Control Panel
- Find Manage 3D Settings and Click it (on the left hand side)
-Then on the right hand side find the tab called Program Settings and click it.
-Then Click Add.

3. Select RustClient.exe
-Double click RustClient.exe or Select it and push Click open

4. Where it says Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:
-Click it and it should have a drop down menu
-Click on High-Performance NVIDIA processor
-Then Push Apply

5. Repeat the steps again but this time select Rust.exe
-And set it to High-Performance too.

6. Run the game and it should work

Problem.. I cant complete step 4 I don't have he preferred graphics thing. Can someone help..

Option 1)

If your only crashing when you go into the sever finder, Try using F1 and direct connecting to a server with the command "Connect 00.00.00.00" <-- Server ip

You can find rust server ip's here "https://rust-servers.net/"

This is only a form of bypass, Only thing is that the server you join will not come up in your recently played so save the ip on your pc.

Option 2)

Also if when it crashes and you get the box saying rust has crashed, just click back on rust and usual you can ignore it and play the game anyway, but be aware it might randomly crash in an hour or so
