New Rust. 100% packet loss after joining the servers.
After connectiing and waking up on any new server then causes 100% packet loss but does not kick me out. Anyone else had this problem?

Jungle internets?

My net is fine. This happens on both Community servers and offical. Must be a Rust related problem.

Well, judging from amount responds to your topic and that I do not have such a problem it is not game's problem

I might be wrong though

I get this, and it happens for me on *most*, but not all servers / connection attempts. And oddly, if I go for servers with really high latency from me, it tends to join properly more often. Have tried multiple reinstalls, etc. Running WIndows 7 SP1 64bit. I'm going to try from my Macbook shortly to see if that helps.
I've been experiencing this since dev update 50 or 51, I think, but it seems rare because I've posted on other forums and haven't found similar stories.

also, possibly relevant, looking at the sent vs rcvd packet status, it appears to be *outbound* traffic that's getting blocked or lost, not inbound (hence why we can join the server, run around the map, but just not actually interact with the world or send any commands, etc.)

(edit: i could have that wrong on second glance, i was going by "messages sent" but that doesn't actually necessarily mean "from the client", and given how TCP works it's not as though it can actually be unidirectional.. but in terms of game packets, that's how it feels)

I've logged this on the facepunch support site if anyone else experiencing this wants to upvote / add their comments: http://support.facepunchstudios.com/feedback/view/3955-100-packet-loss-on-join-except-for-some-high-ping-modded-servers

Same problem here on every server... Strange though when my friend logs in he sees me sleeping, and when he kills me i die on my screen aswell.

Connection via VPN is working like a charm, but unpractical workaround ofcourse.

I actually had this issue before and never got a fix to this as well. Yeah get a ticket going for the devs but all the advice i got from them was get the dev beta patch which did nothing

I also have 100% packet loss. For EVERY SINGLE SERVER. :(

I've upvoted this on the Facepunch support site.

When I VPN it works 100% perfectly.

Documented here:

It's definitely a problem.

Please comment in this official support thread to get this problem sorted:

2016 and I still have this issue with the new rust, even with fresh pc installs, different routers etc. From what I've heard it's related to certain ISP's.

Yep, I coincidentally resolved this when I switched ISP. (should have posted an update, whoops)

Why dont you guys post your ISP's then?

I have Comcast and haven't had this problem until day im sure it will resolve on my end soon.

My friend has Charter (fast connection too) and has intense packet loss but when he used Comcast on the same computer it ran perfectly fine.

Run a tracert to the rust server and see where the lag starts and ask your ISP to reroute the connection :)
