Rust
People can destroy houses in minutes
Since the new update, the is alot of raiding going on but I was killed inside my house on the 3rd floor by someone with a tommygun. When I came back not only my house, but my backup house next door were almost completly missing. Only a few panels remain. I had built towers all around with cupboards in and they were sealed with either stone or wood walls and sealed cupboards behind walls on the send and third floors wiith no access unless you build.

4 days to build...

I know this game is still in making but its been hored out so much over the last couple of years and so many people play it that bugs that allow people to just walk through walls 'Should' be a thing of the past.

I agree with you.. there should be GM or dev presence on the servers or some sort of trouble ticket you can place to report this sort of hacking. Now since the walls dont regen any idiot with a rock can break your walls down and get in your house (providing he has the time and be undisturbed). I dont mind durability on tools.. but your home should be a safe place to put your sleeping bag and things you spent hours gathering... now there is no where secure for anything. Only the players with hacks and tons of guns will survive.. i guess there will be no new players having fun in Rust.

Absolutley. Such a shame...

Yeah, the tool cupboards are a bad idea. The whole reason they did the tool cupboards in the first place was they wanted to make something that people could put in their house to keep their houses from being griefed with stacked objects or surrounding tower structures to get on top or to another level. I have a different and, in my and my friends opinion, way better way to accomplish this. What they should have done is make it so whoever lays the first piece is the building's owner and the building starts creating its no build radius, people have to ask permission to build onto that original framework and the framework itself would have a radius of no build not just from a central box, but from every single piece. Basically the person acts like a tool cupboard and others don't just get to one click authorize building permissions on them either. The original piece player would have to respond back with a yes or a no as well. Also, should the original owner be gone (perhaps decided to move servers or just not play anymore) it would be okay. You could have those already authorized be able to authorize others as well just as the original piece holder did. This would satisfy the no griefing idea AND make it so hackers can't just walk through walls, authorize on a little box, and destroy everything you have taken a lot of your time to do. There may be a few things I am missing, but I must ask, if anyone agrees on this idea, please post and re-post this idea on the forums. The tool cupboards must be eliminated as they are a bad way to do this. A few of my friends have not wanted to play this game even due to the fact that the tool cupboard is the most broken idea in the game especially with the amount of hacks still in the game.

Hmmm... I do agree in part with. Its a very good idea to have the owner assigned as the first person to say 'Click on the door'. I do also think that the 'tool cupboard' idea also works. It gives a sovereignty over the local area and should stop the griefing like from the Legacy Rust where poeple would build shacks right outside your front door.

The issue with laying the first 'Brick' would be, if you do decide to stop playing, that area may never really be built on agian.

The game would just work better if Facepunch and stop the Flying, the Walking through walls & make it more difficult to break through walls/doors etc.

Not true necessarily. They do plan on putting decay back in from what I understand. So if you leave, your house would be gone in a week maybe less depending on the rate they chose or if the server is allowed to change the rate. But getting rid of tool cupboards would stop the hackers and griefers in their tracks because there would be absolutely nothing they could do about it besides using C4 and destroying the whole structure the fair and true way. Also, if they did it right, they could make it so that a structure like a foundation could not just be left alone to be used to reserve a spot and if it stood alone long enough would just decay within say a few hours so that way these people couldn't just reserve ALL the spots to troll people.

They will never be able to stop the flying. Flymods are the most basic of hacks, as is noclip, for every game ever invented. The way I am proposing is the only way to ensure that permission has to physically be given in the game to build in a spot so as to stop griefers and hackers.

And about the getting into doors being easy, yeah I agree on that. I can understand making wood weak against maybe say hatchets and shotties, but once you upgrade to stone or above, you should have to use C4 to break in and they should maybe bring back plate metal walls to match the metal doors. Just have it as another upgrade, but make it very expensive for each item.

This issue will be problematic when the updates are applied to normal mode. I can easily make singular tower type structure ( multiple blocks on a single foundation) to raid any house. Along with the update, since a block costs 50 wood each, 1000 woods in overall (depending of the height of the house and the place of the tool cupboard) are enough to build it. I think health of the integrated parts should be increased in a way that it should't be easy to break with hatchet in a minute, otherwise explosive charges will be meaningless. Alternatively, there may be 3 stages of a building part similar to early version in development (wood, stone and metal).
