Rust
Primitive is looking INSANE, anyone wanna talk about their experiences?
I haven't gotten into the US server yet, queue is absolutely bonkers. So what have been your guys experiences with the gamemode? I'm honestly super hyped to not get shot every 15 minutes by a tower bolty (skill issue) :praisesun:

Well, I was also hyped, was having fun for a few hours fresh wipe with my teammate, suddently a group of 10 people showed up, placed a battering ram and just destroyed the base which has honeycombed all directiong with like 7 doors, in less than 1 minute.

I mean I do not expect to win a 10v2 fight, but dam in wipe day, my base was quite decent for wipe day being around 10K sulfur to raid atleast, but with the battering ram seems you can get online raided by big groups with pretty much no raid cost, and not talking about offline raid cuz they can raid you with very little cost no matter how big your base is unless you build something insanely big.

Even in big numbers in normal rust as a solo you can have some chance if your aim is good, but appears that in primal rust is quite a struggle to kill groups of low skill players due the slow DPS as they get plenty of time to organize, shoot or retreat if needed for heals.

After my first experience, I would prefer playing servers with a cap in player numbers to like 3-4 max, and I would just remove battering ram from the game, I get devs want it to make some cool online raids, but to be honest is just gonna cause massive offline raids with people not even having to farm so it just gonna build up frustration with this new gamemode and people will not play it or atleast that is what I think.

Same thing happened to my brother as well. No more primitive for him I don't think. Too bad since besides that one new addition it seemed like fun.
I was thinking perhaps building foundations/low walls surrounding your base to prevent the battring ram to reach your base could maybe work, or just simply building your base on top of a big rock formation that will make battering ram unusable, but also there is to consider the catapults, not so sure how much damage they cause to structure, but I could see how big groups of players of +10 size could have multiple catapults shooting a small base at once to raid with using stones, they do deal damage so they could raid small bases that are not honeycombed with no sulfur cost, I am not exactly sure how much damage they could deal or how quickly but I did see the damage is there so you could get raided quietly by utilizing catapults aswell regardless of where you build.

(to be fair if a +10 size group wants to raid a solo nothing you do matters anyway).
After the update I can no longer play, the game attempts to launch and then tells me the steam client is not running, which it is. WOW another great "update"

I don't mean to sound like every tech bro ever, but have you tried reinstalling? I have a friend who kept getting crashes and launch errors, reinstalled, fixed it.
