Any tips at the start of a game?

The first thing i do is gather cloth while running around and make a bed, then i gather wood to make a spear and a base, then i upgrade it to stone. Then i hunt some animals and gather the stuff of the barrels so i can make a bow and of course make metal. But that is the part where i usually get bullied to oblivion and get stuck. What should i improve? maybe im unlucky and always make bases near full packed bois idk

you can join some crafting servers and check out some tuts on youtube. just look for (sandbox) in rust or (build) then you can test stuff like durability

I'd play lower pop servers early on so you got some room. Learn monuments, best loot is there but also it's important to learn layouts so you can fight for that loot.

That's where more predictable fights are, fights in the open you shouldn't worry about all that much - most are not duels.

Don't build in hot areas, places with good monuments and lots of them.

Take your time, Rust takes a while to git gud
