So heli is pointless now?
im playing on a private friend group server and i tried my luck on heli
four shots from rifle and it blew up my tower and left forever, thanks facepunch, hopefully theres plugin that changes it back

it was made from metal but i forgot to add frames to increase stability so one part that got blown up fell apart
either way the heli ran away and did not approach my place even if i was able to use rest of the tower to kill it

If you die while taking hele it's not going to hang around. It will just continue off on it's merry way. It's why taking hele as a solo is hard.

it not exactly hard to solo it i was just less prepared than i thought i was, but the new AI will make it run away at some point so its practically impossible to solo

i even shot it as soon as i respawned and it still left

You are making no sense. It`s impossible in a full server unless you are rage cheating.

You are supposed to shoot up the heli while taking cover in a monument then chase it down to the next monument to finish it off. Doing it solo on an empty server is not an issue at all.

yeah fight heli basically in the open where its aimbot can wreck you easier
if Facepunch insists on this change they should atleast make its aim worse
Metal towers can sustain even the strongest heli, there's usually little to no destruction.

If your base is stone then any heli will make sure there's no stone in sight.
Old heli is trash boring compared to new one, much more interesting fight these days. There are still servers that run the old one and it's a snooze fest after hunting some new ones.

Just un auth on the tc and it will shoot mainly incen rockets instead of real rockets
