Thanks, I tried all of those solutions but they are still invisible. Not a huge issue, just annoying. :(
You can try flushing your dns manually via run > cmd > ipconfig /flushdns
Other than that, verifying game files or reinstalling Steam (just make sure the cloud option is enabled in settings so it keeps your library intact).
Another thing you can look for is:
Go to:
C:/Windows/System32/Drivers/etc
Edit the file called hosts (open it in notepad)
If you find this set of text in the file:
127.0.0.1 media.steampowered.com
::1 media.steampowered.com
DELETE IT and save!
It may be your router or Windows firewall causing the issue. Try restarting the router if the avatars used to work, or add Rust as an exception in Windows firewall.
