What age is this game appropriate for ??

hey guys need a little help.... i want to know what age this game is appropriate for? what contents it has in it? hows the vioelence ? iv been playing it for a while and it dosent seem that bad. i want to get it for a friend and i am recommending it to a few people but is the Male Nudity default ? or do you have to go on the console (F1 , censor.nudity false) to dissable the nudity . also what age is this game for thanks guys and please no stupid childish comments . thanks guys .and dont laugh xD

well because of the violence, the very bad language of some people, and the nudity.. i would say its for 18+ you have to go to the F1 console , censor.nudity false or censor.nudity true.. i don't really remember.. i am not sure if i would recommend this game to a friend since its unsure about when the next update will come.. but i would tell them to take it cause updates doesn't really matter when u are with ur friends and it also might get more expensive in the feature.. its only 20 bucks, tell them to take it =D

First of all this is a perfectly reasonable question and it's good to see that there are still people out there that take precautions when allowing children to play certain games.

Anyway, the violence isn't detailed but it is rather implied that it's a kill or be killed situation.

You have to go out of your way to turn on nudity. So basically unless you don't want the child to see male nudity and you trust them not to look up how to do it, you're golden here.

I will say this though. This isn't a shooter or even really a survival game. It's a strategy game that many adults get frustrated with. If you aren't as sharp witted as the others on the server you're going to have a difficult time having fun playing this game. Just something you may want to know before shelling out dough on a game like this.

There are also some variables with games like this. First of all it's still in Beta and a lot can change. While not likely it's entirely possible for this game to eventually have nudity as the default. Violence could be enhanced. It's also expected that female character models will eventually be implimented. Also keep in mind that content changes when you get online. Even the most child-friendly of games can be populated with people who are not. Other players can potentially make this game ill suited for younger players.

No, nudity is not default.

Violence is really akin to neither of those games. It's not cartoonish, but there's no gore outside of blood particle effects. Very tame by today's standards.

It depends on what you expect from the 12/13 year old. If you trust them not to go out of their way to add nudity to the game, and isn't impressionable in terms of listening to strangers on the internet, I think this game is perfectly fine for a 12/13 year old. Just keep in mind maturity levels swing drastically at that age.

It's not the violence or graphics. you have to understand this isn't a singleplayer game. There will be interaction with other players.
That said those other players can be racist, bullies, trolls, jerks, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, etc. Much worse than seeing a penis in a game.

Personally I would give this game a R16 & Mature Audiences stamp. This is a blanket rule I give to multiplayer games.

• People of all ages play the game and swearing is often seen, and people can say anything.
  
• You never know who you might be playing with.
  
• Some people are untrustworthy, Children under 16 may be taken advantage of because they don't know that some people are 'bad'. While this may happen to someone over 16, one hopes that they have been educated about the dangers of online activity by this age.
  
• Volience, my parents let me play volient games since I was 10, and looking at 10 year olds these days playing volient games it discusts me. These opinions only develop once you get older.
  
• Addiction, your base and player can be raided and killed while you are offline, this has people coming on every hour 'just to check'. It is easy to get addicted to this game

I would still recommed this game to friends to buy, Sure the updates are not flowing as much as we hoped, but with the content currently in the game it is worth the $19.99.


Also to note: If this game had an official rating it would be R18 or AO (depending which country you are in) as there is no limitations on what people can say in the game. It is for this reason that many rating companys or orginisations do not rate online games.

You can try to mute through the steam overlay. I don't quite remember if that works though. It should if I recall, but having to do it every time you join a sever to mute people is annoying.

they should implement a way to mute the chat and mute the Voices of other players . do this and they might just have a T rated game .

Also, a swing on the nudity.
Some servers have it set so when a player enters the game it automaticall disables the censorship of nudity. This setting stays with the client PC unless it is disabled by typing "censor.nudity true" into the F1 console.
In the next update they will permanantly censor nudity (it will look like a sim in the shower, all blocked out)
