any singleplayer/sandbox mode?
ive been thinking about buying Rust, but ive heard a LOT about trolls and cheaters rampant on the servers, and i was just wondering if it has a Singleplayer option or something kind of like Gmod's Sandbox mode on a private server

The only way to play singleplayer is to play on an empty server.

So go rent one, slap a password and enjoy...life without challenge.

Sadly being in alpha Rust is very content light, there's really no point to playing by yourself as the red animals pose no threat and after you get done building your 'uber fortress' you literally have nothing to do.

Is why the game is resoundingly PvP focused at this time.

Trolls and cheaters are rampant on unsupervised servers. Well the latter are anyways. Trolls, there's no escaping them. This is the internet, anonynimity prints a license to be a douchebag. Been that way for ages and will be so for ages.

Heh haven't seen most of my posts. I troll. I just troll the deserving :)

I'm a picky troll. I like my rage dashed with bad engrish and ineffectual whines!

Hey if you would like to join my server we actively ban/jail trolls, you cant loot other players or break their buildings. its a fun way to learn and we have a bunch of cool people that can help you out. if you wanna try it

press f1 before joining and type client.connect 104.140.17.210:28215
