Rust
Make rust a better map!
nether: Big post-apocalyptic city full of skyscrapers, very detailed map at some points.
dayz: A whole post-apocalypic islend implented from arma 2 full of towns, military bases, and so on, and is extremely realistic.
7 days to die: Fancy looking map which is destructable at the same time, also implented lots of buildings and broke down cars, planning to also make procedural generation.

Rust: 1 circle road, with about 6-7 locations, surrounded by repeating trees and rocky mountains. Half of these locations consists 1-2 buildings, there is one that has only loots, and the leftovers are factory areas with completely no props in them, except the loot. The buildings are the same everywhere, and big rad town (where there is 4 houses with 1st floor and 4 loot) has no loot in the big factory buildings.

Yeah, that's alpha, but you know what: all of these games are alpha! All of the other games cared about alpha players, and made a worthy map for them, to feel more like a finished one than that.

Rust also has multiple problems in case of looting. You go on a 50 player server, and bam, all the people are rushing into the 1-2 worthy locations to find enough loot, and you constantly die because of this. Please tell me how to do, and i will make a giant map for free. This map was like made in 2 minutes, if we dont count the programming of gaming elements. Simply take a random terrain generator, set them to generate rocky mountains, then put the same buildings everywhere, 1-2 loot in them, and congratulations, you have a rust map!

It's alpha, dayz was a "mod" with a pre-existing map.. I mean seriously? think awhile before you post.

And? That changes something that rust has the worst map from the remaining 2 competitors?

One people would be enough to make a way better map in 2 hours.

You don't have to build next to the damn loot spawns, don't even have to deal with loot area's at all honestly. The map is massive. Only issue right now is having to run on foot everywhere. Add some vehicles and people will build into the wasteland further.

Couple points...
1) Rust no longer has competitiors as it is not a zombie survival game anymore and will never be in the future. but more importantly...
2)Devs have stated that this is NOT the game map, this is only a placeholder while they work out game mechanics ect. Nothing in the current map will be present in the final map..Nothing. Garry himself has said this, so not too worry i am sure the real map we get wil be much better.

I have played enough minecraft, i dont want to build, thats just another loot to be taken from me the following day, and then i have to recollect the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way from the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ places.

What a rust game goes like when I build?
I build a shelter near big rad town. I constantly go for loot evey time my rad is low. I haven't got enough wood for skyscrapers, so I build another shelter in the mountains, and craft furnce. I'm still just walking to the same loot locations, as there is the most of them. (The other parts of the map have exactly the same loots, just have less, and with more bandits.) I always shoot the volwes and bears for loot atthe same place. Thets VERY BORING.

The problem is that if I dont want a house, I'm just wandering around every looting locations, and searching for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ c4. There are no "better loots" or "army bases" to have an idea where to exactly get it, just wandering. Thats even more boring.

That's why you raid bases, make people leave servers because your group made them cry. about the most fun you could ever have.

Also, Nether dont have exactly zombies. Dayz, rust, and nether is the SAME GENRE. A survival game, where you have to surive people, and all of them have cream between players, callled zombies, nethers, wolves whatever. Lets call it MAPS (multiplayer apocalyptic people/player survival). MOBA-s also have minions, and in MAPS, these are the mobs. Minecraft and 7 days to die are NOT in this genre, except in multiplayer mods that concentrate on that.

MAPS ....could stick...
I could agree with you there.

You forgot to say "Rust: a unfinished project that was released to scam people for money, from a small gammin companie that will take this game nowhere." Forget big updates, this game will never change in a way that you will get a better map. Facepunch cant design a bigger map.

Hey now facepunch is a good studio you take that back now.

How many bought this game? 150 000+? They earned a lot of money, they have a budget now.

I didn't say they are a bad studio. I loved garry's mod. Just their alpha game is more like an AAA alpha. That may be good, but i hope they will take at least the half of the earned money in it, like in garrys mod.

I call that genre GOBG. Grief-or-be-griefed.
