How to repair items?

I have stone hatchet, used it until it turned red. How do I repair it? I can't even equip it. I have a workbench and am in range of it.

I did not play with this new patch yet but as I understand it, there is a new item you can craft: Repair bench, completly different from workbench and used to repair things only.

They did add "repair bench"...I just didn't see it. I tried using workbench *facepalm*

But it's not totally my fault. facepunch said "Items will now become damaged in game due to repeated usage. Items can be repaired at a workbench" so I was using workbench.

You're right, it looks like they changed the words on the update notes, so now it's less confusing :P

thats gona be a big deal with durrability (love it tho) since most people would just keep using their tool until they get raided. Also it will be GREAT cause kevlar peps will finnaly be able to loose thier kevlar :D

yea silly that you craft an item once and NEVER have to craft it again. It just takes away from the "survival" aspect of the game. I like durability.

I can't see the "repair bench"... I've just been tossing items out of my inventory onto the workbench and some things repair and some don't. I get the strange feeling, however, that that is not how it is supposed to work. How do i get/find a repair bench??? :\

The repair bench is not in the list of things to craft when you press TAB ?
