How to rollback my own server?

Hey guys. I've got a decent server with about 30-40 ppl playing on it.
We wiped yesterday and now everything is gone again..these ppl farmed their ♥♥♥ up yet.
Somehow my Server decided to delete everything except the inventory.
Is there any way to backup it some hours ?

Please tell me yes and how to..

rust_island_2013.sav - 0 Bytes
rust_island_2013.sav.old.0 - 0 Bytes

Every other file has Bytes on it.

I could barf so hard atm.

Please help me quick! :/

RUST forced a wipe by e-mailing all the server providers I think a day or two ago. It happened to us too.

No proof, but we custom mod our own stuff and we package our code so it can't be force reset by a rust update But, our host can do it if they're forced to.

hi a bit late maybe but since iv just started with rust this year iv noticed when ur server is starting up it says that there is no save after an update if u have the save game file after an update say u have uppdate 321.sav and ur old on is 320.sav just delete the new save and rename the old save file from 320 to 321 in my case iv got porceduralmap.6000.seed number.230 of the old save iv just booted upp the server and it said ther is no save named after the current update. so all iv did was rename the old file it was trying to fetch from the server save to the new fetch line aka the name of the map generation size and seed number uppdate number.sav the map is alredy generated but be shure to keep a backup or two when u shut down or maintaine your server re name it after a update to the new update aka the number after the world seed and ur save should be there u can also get the problem with batch aka .bat file that it rewrites itself so u get a quicker boot upp time and the server .exe command console wont recognize the file to fetch and trys to re generate ur map with same seeds but diffrent names so it wont have the fetch line for the saves cus its named diffrently so make shure u have a the bat file or server config file backed up. btw when u do this to your server ther might be some oddeties in things that is getting uppdates because its an old ave file for my instance the engeiens on the sulfur quarry and the oil jack wont start upp might be that the save file is not reconfigured for the new files from the update still investegating just stubeld upon ur thred. btw typos are just to common right now soon in on a 24 hour bench and english isent my native launge

Hey Mate, I appreciate your feedback but I don't even own a server anymore. :)
