What happens after you die?

Do you respawn? is it permadeath and you have to start a new character? Is there any type of penalty for dying?

This game looks really cool, but Im interested in learning about the mechanics of death since it seems there is a large chance of dying.

When you die you drop a backpack which anyone can loot (even you) If you don't got a sleeping bag then you will spawn randomly on the map.

The backpack disappears after a few minutes, right? So more often than not, you're not going to get your stuff back.

2 buttons respawn and spawn at camp respawn means you spwan random spawn at camp you spawn at you sleeping bag when you die all of your things are lost but you can find them again
