How long until my body despawns after logging out?

Title says the main gist, but when you log out your body stays on the ground, does it ever disappear? I assumed it was there until you logged back in, but when I logged into the server I play on, I spawned in my house, where I left off, but I also logged of with a friend, and his body wasn't there, so does it de-spawn? and how long does it take.

i think its supposed to stay there until you die or log back in. if you dont like that try a server with No Sleepers

Thanks, how do I know if it's a no-sleeper server?

They usually tell you in the title if Sleeper is off.
