Rust
Offline/Single Player games like this?
Basically I'm looking for the long-sought-after Caveman Simulator(TM!), and don't suggest UnReal World! :P Thats a little bit awful.. Not really a caveman simulator, exactly, though that'd be fun enough.. Something where you need warmth, food, and shelter, and the warmth and food part constantly draw you out of the security of your shelter in search of them.. Hard enough to find a scavenging/hoarding game that has building at all, much less one with a good desolate/empty/sparsely populated atmosphere and the proper "crude"ness to the tool selection.. Open-ended/open-world/sandbox also, no time restrictions or terrible virus acting as a death-clock..

Does it even exist? Until I read that Rust is trapped forever in mmo-land I thought I'd found it :|

GWAAAH! :P Minecraft doesn't want me murdered enough :P Though that Hardcore one-life-to-live mode can supply some adrenaline :|

Theres another one, 7 days to die. It has single player but obviously it has it's own flaws hence it being so low on the sales charts compared to Rust. The one review I saw comparing all three also warned people from buying 7 days to die.

My suggestion, move somewhere with developed infastructure.

I just want to start naked with a rock! Somewhere alone.. I suppose I could do without the exposed genitalia though :D I don't want to start off quite THAT defenseless :> I dunno.. I love the whole idea of starting out with absolutely nothing and working your way up through extreme (almost unfair!) danger.. Can't really believe the pure wilderness survival is so under-done in gaming.. Someone mentioned they'd love to see a game like this made by Rockstar.. I immediately imagined stubbing my toe on a rock and rolling down a hillside, half naked, with those good human-falling Rockstar physics :> I'd laugh for days, and then make him fall down the hill again :)
