Advantages of Beds?
The patch notes say that beds work "...the way old sleeping bags used to..."

Can someone elaborate on that? What's the advantage of a bed vs. a sleeping bag?

Thanks!

If I understand correctly from reading a couple of other posts about it, they are much harder to destroy than a sleeping-bag was (may require C4 to destory perhaps, not sure on that though).

I'm going to quote myself from another recent post I just made.

I haven't had a good opportunity yet to test what "exactly" it does mean. But if I'm to assume what it is by reading it at face value, then it's along the lines of.. "Spawning on a sleeping bag will trigger a global cooldown on all of your other sleeping bags within a 100m radius."

The advantage of beds is that you will be able to spawn at it without any "cooldown timer" triggering for a 100m radius as with sleeping bags.

I haven't tested that yet either, but that probably is the truth as well (perhaps not the C4 part however).

And it may just look cooler.

Cool, thanks for the good info. Looking forward to trying them out.

Basicly this prevents people from throwing down 15 sleeping bags outside a place they are attacking.

Exactly this. The primary difference is that beds, while having no respawn timer, require a house with a roof. Someone can't just lay down a dozen sleeping bags outside your house and respawn over and over to destroy something. They're welcome to create 15 beds, but it won't be outside your door. It'll be in a house with a roof somewhere.

Essentially, if someone really wanted to zerg beds they'd have to go through quite a lot more effort in order to do so.
