Well that's fine then, making it tougher.

Yea but you wont be able to fit many beds in a 1 foundation room. So it will wouldnt work like i5 originally did. People will find a way, theyre just making it tougher

This is why they need to nerf building somehow. They want to do this survival sim-type game but then you are allowed to carry 10 freakin houses in your pocket...I am all for only being able to slow-walk while carrying 30 metric tons of building material in your backpack. Also, once they implement ownership to make removing buildings easier they need to go further with that and allow people to assign multiple ownership to a structure. That would allow them to implement something like taking 15-30 seconds to build within a smallish radius around an owned object. Currently it's a broken mechanic. Blow a wall, place a pillar, ruin a house for good. If they had to wait 15+ seconds to build onto someone else's structure while in the middle of a shootout it would go a long way toward making building a base feasible. It would also take a long time to take those 30 sets of stairs and 60 pillars they carried across the map on a sprint and built steps around the entire base...it's insane. Another tactic employeed is dropping a wooden shack in front of doors. The above makes all this less viable and better for everyone. You would still be able to craft and build as always by yourself/with friends but building the structures would have to happen near where you want to place them and no time delay for building outside the small radius of another building to facilitate fun gameplay without feeling like a time draining grind.

There's a cooldown of 5 minutes when breaking down a stranger's door to install your own door.

Thanks for the clarification.
But what does this mean in layman's terms?
"Sleeping bags now reset the use timers of all your other sleeping bags in a 100m radius. "

Before, they would build a shack and put a quadrillion sleeping bags in there, so whenever the raiders died, they would spawn right there again. Now, once ONE of them triggers his sleeping bag and respawns, all others in 100 meters are rendered useless as a spawn point, for the stipulated period of time.

No more "zerging", they can't just keep coming anymore, or at least, its a lot harder.

P.S.:

The Zerg work sort of like Aliens in the franchise. They make use of numbers. Whenever ya hear "zerging", its cuz someone is employing the same methods, achieving a goal thru sheer numbers.

Does this mean if the defenders place a bed then their sleeping bags are rendered useless?

What's "zerging" ?
A Zerg Rush is a reference from StarCraft. The Zerg are a alien race that overwhelm you with hundreds of expendable units. OUTNUMBERED

Sleeping Bags - once used upon death - they have a cooldown of 4 minutes - and negate all your other bags in the immediate area.

Beds - Unlimited respawns - no cool down - only 1 bed needed. Multiple beds are a waste of resource - unless your attacked a lot - then perhaps 1 per floor isn't a bad idea, if you got guys up in your ♥♥♥♥ all the time.

Your last placed - sleeping item - is where u will spawn, if you die again within that 4 minute cool down - you will respawn at your next layed sleeping item - whereever that may be.

Sleeping Bags = my version of a car in rust. I teleport everywhere I go. Works great if you like being naked - or having multiple bases across the playing field. Or getting to that airdrop across the map in time. etc.

* In hindsight * Sleeping Bags are still rather game breaking due to the above use of them. Rust with cloth teleports ++
