Can't open my own door
As the title says, I've built my first shelter in Rust, and gave it a door. But when I try to use the door to open it, the door doesn't budge at all. Any idea what's causing this?

Make sure you're using the correct key to interact with it (check your key bindings).

But if it says "it's locked", then, someone else smashed-down your door while you were away and replaced it with their own.

My "use" key is the default (E), and using the door doesn't say it's locked. This was done on a server with no other people, since I'm new and wanted to learn stuff before joining a populated server. So it seems it's a bug, which kinda sucks. But oh well, I'm sure it'll be fixed later

You have to be close enough to it, and you may have to adjust the view until you see the word "Open" appear. Good luck.

Are you sure it is your door? Maybe someone destroyed it, captured your shelter and placed there his own door?

No, I'm sure I built it. I was the only person on the server, and this was right after I crafted and placed it myself. And the problem isn't my use key, since I could start and put out my campfire at my leisure. So it must be a bug, simple as that. Still didn't stop me from having fun when I played, but it did kind of suck not having a safe home

If it's a wooden-door, you can break it with enough hits, and then you could try replacing it (you may have to also destroy the bottom doorjamb / base of the door too though).

happened to me with gold doors on a populated server now. oh well

I've tryed both locks the new numeric one nd the key lock both disappear and you can't open the door. It is a bug.

I am having this problem too. i notice after i make a copy of a key to give to my friend it glitches up and i can no longer open my own door with a lock on it.. annoying
