How can i destroy metal door?

I read on playrustwiki.com that metal door can be destroyed by grenades and C4, but i dont know exactly how many grenades i need, does it depends on server rules? Some say that 10 grenades will be enought and othere says that it needs 15 of them. And also i read on playrustwiki that "Metal doors will despawn after a certain amount of time." is it true? Must i always renew my metal door?

It sounds like they're talking about decay, that is if you don't interact with your house/stronghold once every few hours/days your building will decay to prevent people building a whole bunch of stuff, abandoning it and cluttering up the server.

as far as grenades go they are very expensive to craft and really not worth it. Get your hands on some C4 and also learn how to make it, it should only take 1-2 C4 to breach a metal door.

This is all depends on the server you play on because some of them might have different settings.
