How to build wooden foundation?

I found certain amount of blueprints and resources, I am pretty well with thirst and hunger but I don't know how to get started building my base. All the guides are for older rust. Do I need to get a blueprint or what?

u need a building plan , its in crafting place

Like l33tas said, you need to craft building plan, which is crafted with one paper (costs 100 wood to craft). Also you need wooden hammer, which also costs 100 wood.

When you've crafted building plan, place it your hotbar and select it and you can start building.
(Hold Right Click and select with Left click when you want to change building parts)

And then use wooden hammer to upgrade the parts to higher tier.
(Hold Right Click And Select with Left click while hammer equipped)
