Ahh, I see, it's like a 1998 game which Steam just added to its store will say it's a 2022 game. Clever little marketing trick.
exactly :)
Reported for trolling
Yay, here we go again :)
Its not a marketing trick. EA is pre-release. When a game is finished its released. I am in no way surprised you cannot grasp this simple concept and struggle with the definition of technical terms.
And, BTW, i have already reported myself for trolling on your behalf.
Surely, your trollish comment is referring to this statement which isn't about Rust: "Ahh, I see, it's like a 1998 game which Steam just added to its store will say it's a 2022 game. Clever little marketing trick. "
Ive had this account since 2011 and my previous account was started when Steam was released so no im not new to Steam. I also have purchased many EA games which is why im well aware of the terms involved and understand why the release date is what it is.
And not only is your comment about Rust, you clearly stated "I see, it's like". Which means you are comparing a thing with Rust. Making the comment about Rust. Its also not a correct comparison. A completed game released in 1998 and called a new game if its sold on Steam in 2022 is misleading unless its stated as "new to Steam" in which case it would not be misleading. But this is not the case as EA games are pre-release and when they are finished they are released. Its simple really and you are probable the only person who has an issue with this.
ROFL. Of course you are un-subbing. Beat down by logic again and retreating. Genghis would be proud.
"reported for trolling" bro what? This gives me a strong vibe of 2nd grade in elementary shcool when someone stole half of your snack and you "reported" such infraction to the teacher for immediate consequences to be taken. Besides, the guy is right. Rust was released in 2018, before that, it was in early access, which does not coincide with a "game release" (I strongly suggest you to google what a game release is because we all have strong doubts you don't have that precious knowledge for this non-trollish, life or death, vital argument).
I thought you uninstalled. Why do you continue posting in the discussion boards?

Alpha, beta, early access periods are considered pre-release by game developers. This is not a marketing trick of any sorts...
