No lifers, unemployed and kids break this game or are devs focused on group of people with no life?

Hello guys i want to introduce myself i am Chris , 22, employed, one amazing 2years old son Nicolas and ex-wife. I bought this game because i love this kind of survival games with bulding base option and crafting system. It started good i was playing on low populated servers with max 10guys online in which half of them was my friends . I builded my first house after a lot of time researched some weaponry etc. And started with pvp . And here it goes...... i moved to more populated servers ( approximately 20+ online players most of then in clans. )no lifers are gamebreaking factor i spend 4-5 hours to set up base with some barriers defense around house and stock up some ammo and weapons . Beep beep beep beep beep beep time to go sleep ....ok...beep beep beep go to work blah blah ♥♥♥♥ of co workers blah blah i came home logged i and what ? Base raided ..... this happens 7th day in row So i am really pissed of because i work 12 hours almost everyday and when i came back i cannot fully enjoy game because all i do is move base , build base , must go off , raided, and i can start again just because a lot of people dont do anything than playin rust .....please devs when you are reading i rly love this game is amazing but please please.... make it balanced put some wall hp boost for guys who are offline to make it really time wasting to raiders to get easy loot without fight .... i personaly raid only bases that have owners online so when i win it hard earned treasure and its fun for me and even for looser that failed in defense i even give that guys some resources to have better start.

It could be someone equally as busy as you are, but comes on to play at a different time. Sounds like your complaint is really with your own life, you are mad because you do not have the free time you once did to be able to keep up.

I not mad that i dont have 24/7 free time as everyone . I am mad that this game is so much unbalanced to offline players. I dont wanna spend whole free time just playing game .

Man, I've got three kids, a job, a house and a wife. I have the same troubles you do. Either you need to hook up with a clan or just play a bit more strategicaly. Last wipe I managed to have a base with two furnaces for three days straight.
Got some good game play out of it.
Look up some YouTube videos on base design and tricks and you shouldn't be too bad.
Also, building away from large bases helps too.
Never let anyone see you go home either. I've made that mistake too many times.

Thx for advice man. But i think that doesnt matter how wisely u build ur base when u are unable to defend it for over 12 hours per day. I think it would be really good to put some mod jnto game that will increase your walls hp up to 3-4x times more

Just play on modded servers where its easy to get stuff to build a base.

I play on server where u get 3x more resources from gathering. I dont care about that. Founded stuff from drops and towns are getting me mad that i lost every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ night

First off, there are often times over 10,000 people playing this game, all with their own lives so you were probably not raided by the same person each time. Everyone isn't on 24/7, there are such things as different time zones, and guess what? People with different lives and jobs and real life times. Secondly, raiding is part of the game. It's partly what makes the game fun. And there are many ways to defend against it so if you put up defenses and they were breached, that's your fault. You say you enjoy these types of games, where you must survive, build bases, and craft yet you don't seem to enjoy the pvp part. The game and the mechanic is not broken, it is not unbalanced against offline players, this just isn't your type of game.

I am on server where 99% people are from same country as me with same time zone and there arw a lot of guys who play over 15 hrs per day even whole night u can see there over 6-10 nuts online. Ans btw u cant defend ur base when guys have whole night to plant c4 on ur base just cant ..... arent there some mods that will make ur base undestroyable when u are offline ??

Heres what I do, play a low pop server thats new or very close to being newly swiped, find some friends thats not on the same server and add them. Eventually that server will grow with the "nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd" theory. By the time that happens, you will already have been well developed and gain the upperhand. Our server is new and low pop (for now) so theres ample room for you to give it a try. You can add me if your interested.

Yep, now he will truly have to work many hours paying for the ex and child support, taking away the hours he could enjoy playing Rust instead.

Bit late to the discussion but yeah man I feel your pain. It's a pitty that your progress is tied to your base and offline raiding constantly puts you back to square one. I Uninstalled only after 2 weeks of playing because I want to enjoy games after a long day's work, not constantly be harassed and raided by people that have no life or job. This game is really fun, but ultimately the winner is the one who has the most free time not skill.

update , 30 yo old now , had to quit online competetive survival games like rust :D cuz it wasnt doable anymore :D rn in gaming crysis , chilling here and there on valheim , or V rising , grinding on BDO mmorpg game , and trying to get back into New world for chill woodchopping and stuff hehe , had ups and downs in life , survived kidney failure few months ago , got more healthy and stuff , movem from hard labor in car factory to chill in office doing support in callcenter dealing with ppl having problem with their internet and ♥♥♥♥ for double pay hehe :D :D . Rings of power sucks , marvel going to die , saving monez for new tattoo . surprised how this topic was even found after all these years hehe :D :D
