I got randomly banned from rust about 25 mins ago. I think its cuz I had Rainbow Six Seige open when I tried to join a server.

not if they banned the IP address... when you connect to a Rust server your SteamID and ip address are displayed. Making a new account and buying the game again will not solve this if they banned the ip address.

I'd try to contact the server owners, maybe they can be more helpful than some random person that just give sarcastic answers that are not helpful in any way.

no one said anything about EAC, seems like you're on a EAC fixation and assume every server has this enabled.

Either way I'd try contacting the server owners, they'd be able to help you out more than the discussions.

I bet you were server banned because your friends list is what a cheaters friend list looks like. I'd put money on it you're cheating

VAC does not operate like that. i have seen where people are using cross hair overlays in background and been banned but not another game open. only thing that will give you a vac ban is cheating or using a 3rd party software that gives you an advantage.

Banning by IP is outdated by about 20 years, no-one bans by IP as it's pointless, IP's can be spoofed and not only that not everyone has a static IP meaning everytime the router is turned off and on you are given a new IP

There is no perfect way to enforce bans, HWID bans in conjunction with SteamID are the most effective, it means you not only need a new account but new hardware, but there are also ways around HWID bans for those that know.
