ownerid then your steam id
example ownerid 35843568935467
there's a users.cfg file. edit that. no command.

you got 2 ways of making yourself admin. login to the server using web console or you can use the Rusty app and type the command, or you can edit the users.cfg.

option #1

using the server web console or rusty app - login to your server. (the website you rented the server from likley has a web console setup already).

type in the command:

ownerid <steamid> "player name" "reason"

Example:

ownerid <76561198146634305> "imagine" "noreason"

Note: Remember to use "server.writecfg" after entering the above command!

Option #2

edit users.cfg.... it's the same command. ownerid <76561198146634305> "imagine" "noreason"

Source - Myself. i've ran a Rust server for a couple years. Legacy + Experimental.

I have done this. But it wont let me edit or add kits. It says i do not have permission to do so.

If you did it correctly then your name will be in Green (By default) when you type in chat. if you type in chat and it's blue then you didn't do it correctly.

try this

ownerid 76561198146634305 "Imagine" "noreason"

this time without the < > for the steam64 ID

Btw, yes thats your steam64 id above. so you should be able to copy / paste it in your console or in your users.cfg. i forgot to mention that the name is Caps sensitive.
