Rust DDOS's my internet when I try to join any server

Like the post suggests, Rust shuts down my internet (At&t fiber internet with 600 Mbps download speed), cant join any server and after two attempts I cant see any servers, I have already limited my Server browser pings to 500. I have flushed and reset my dns, I have tried to repair EAC, which for some reason doesn't even open how it used to, just showed a black cmd box for a second then disappears. I used to be able to play the game about a year ago and now I cant. Any help is appreciated, Im using:

Nvidia 3060 graphics card
MSIZ390A-Pro Motherboard
16 gigs of ram
Windows 11 OS

how could Rust DDOS your internet XD try a vpn?

There have been a bunch of posts about this and I didnt see the follow up or resolution but Id recommend reading around the forums over the last week, search for key words to find some help or make a ticket with FP.

Pretty sure I even saw Frost and a few other partnered streamers on X complaining about it and the devs are aware of it. Might be something that gets fixed on the next forced update but im not sure, there was a forced patch within the last few days so just look around and see whats been said about it. Its not DDoS but its something to do with the game closing your internet connection.

Its a known issue. Not sure why the OPs age is so important to you, thats a tad weird.

talking about DDOS kinda gives away they arent very bright, thus maybe young.

I’m an adult, I know what DDOS means, I didn’t realize subhumans would take it so literally, just meant it in a sense that Rust has a tendency to make my internet as a whole, including all devices on it stop being able to search things online. Hence why I said ddos. Hopefully this is an acceptable answer oh so great one.

Thanks for the input, didn’t know if anyone else was having this issue but I didn’t see anything recent online. Glad to know that it’s happening to others and it’s a known issue they are hopefully going to fix. I found a semi workaround by putting rust on my SSD, although sometimes I still have issues with certain server side connection errors but overall everything seems to be working alright.
