Memory size and performance are critical.
Your memory configuration is bad - the memory works in single-threaded mode, which on AMD processors leads to a drop in performance by half.
Due to lack of memory, the system will actively use swap, which will lead to prolonged loading and continuous freezes.
you CAN, but youll have to play in 720 or 900p, tweaked settings, and not have any other apps running on the background.
if you tweak settings right, you should be able to hit a solid frame rate that will let you play depending on the server and its congestion.
these settings should work for you and should net you like a 40 - 60fps experience
Set your resolution to Full screen exclusive & 720p to begin with then use these settings, it should yield you good fps. if it getting stable fps, you can go up to 900p and see what that nets you as well. You can just copy this settings into your CFG or you can do it manually ingame menu.
* Don't let that wannabe techie "smellyFish" deter you and tell you that you cant or that your pc cant play it, because it most definitely can. i have a very very large selection of hardware i test on a ton of games for fun for the people that cant or dont have new or powerful stuff. RUST will run fine ona radeon 7850 2gb, 8gb ram, and phenom x4 OC, yes tweaked lower settings but i used the below settings for that setup and it ran pretty neat. i dedicate myself to helping the lesser fortunate and test games with a variety of hardware just to see what can run what and what can do what. let alone, your 1050ti is already way WAY better than the old 7850.
He can't, his CPU is waaay too old and weak. Old AMD CPUs were a lot weaker than Intel ones and rust also works better on Intel CPUs than AMD CPUs
I have a newer CPU and cannot hit even solid 40 frames on a medium populated server with the lowest settings possible.
His CPU also bottlenecks his GPU by a whole 50%. That's insanely huge. He won't be able to even get most of the performance from his card.
and the cpu you have is even weaker so i would saj no. unless you are looking for terrible experience.
