-2 million unique copies sold, 16 million sold in total.
-185 000 accounts banned as of 2022/23 (round it up to a million for 2024)
-1 million unique accounts banned out of 2 million that bought the game
-1 million people re-bought rust an extra 14 million times as a result of being banned

16 million copies sold is from google and the 2 million unique sales were from post in an update a year or 2 ago.

At any rate, if 16 million copies sold verse an avg of (what steam claims) 60k-120k people playing doesn't say anything, then i guess ignorance really is bliss for some people.

Cheaters are most addicted and keep this game alive. Once banned they get so mad they buy 5-10 accounts during discounts. They rage 2-3 days and re-sell for $8-15 while keeping their base on their clean account. Considering how badly the game is coded they are a blessing for FP and Steam. That`s a lot of money for subpar product.

I look at the cheats on YouTube from time to time. They have so many options like silent walk, body parts priority, anti-fly kick and pretty much everything else needed to stay off the radar and never get caught.
Admin free look or "debugging" as it`s called is the worse since it fully undetectable & completely nulls any type of base design/traps.
They are basically hooking functions available to the admins which is ironic to say the least.
I think Rust should be a free game like CS2 as a matter of fact they should be paying me to play it at this point... I feel stupid for wasting money on skins and stuff knowing quite well that I will regret it.

Honestly watching the cheaters on youtube is more entertaining than watching youtubers build in location x, y or z in base style a, b or c.. They can't compete with skill anymore so now its about who can build the best or wackiest base or who can farm the most scrap.. Such a joke..

And yea there are videos out about how admins turned to cheating as a result of facepunch not banning anyone and there not being enough admins to moderate servers..

Theres so much corruption..

Just a hypothesis, but considering all the fake servers, it wouldn't surprise me they are loading up official servers with fake pop to force a queue so people pay for queue skip.. Thats a lot of $$ for facepunch too..

Maybe it's more fun to just sit back and do nothing while complaining.

Many have tried and been denied.. Camomo has even asked facepunch and they declined..
Its like they want cheaters in their game..
