rust lagging

how to i reduce my lag , i can load into a server run around for a few minutes and then my game freezes and drags me back, its very hard to try and understand and play a new games when you cant do anything. could someone please help because as i wanna try and play it.

You need i7, 32gb ram and at least 3060TI or their equivalents to play somewhat comfortably.
Also your internet speeds and distance to the server are just as important.

Besides lowering video settings & joining less populated server there is nothing else you can do.

What is your actual pc specs. I have over 20k hours in rust, been playing since 2013. Upgraded a few times since it's legacy days and on a build currently from 2021. I'd need full model for cpu, ram amount/speeds gpu doesnt mean too much for rust but a rtx 3060 ti is min spec. A fast ssd is a must like a samsung 970 would be a decent drive. If you're on a HDD then don't bother playing.

yes an amd ryzen 5 7600x would work but how much ram do you have? i have a AMD ryzen 5 7600X and it works fine with over 25 gb of ram i recommend doing the following
#1 Playing on potato settings
#2 you cna keep your render distance / drawing distance as big as you want because it doesnt lag you
#3 play on small maps stuff like enardo eu 10x or enardo us 10x or servers with small in there name

okay nvm your stats are boss just play on potato settings with lower draw distance and turn down grass + stuff like that to 0 keep render distance up tho

Play lower pop servers and put your graphics to potato.

tried lowering graphics and for someone reason when i load into a server it says connection failed and when i search for a new server there is no longer any servers

maybe shadow banned. It happens many people today.
