ADS and Crouch Toggle
These options need to be added. Just throwing that out there.

What do you mean ADS needs to be added? It's always been in. And the crouch toggle, maybe, but it's very simple to just hold a button.

Toggling ADS and Crouching is an extremely simple fix. Most other games have the feature.

I can't be the only one who wants this feature, right? I mean, it cant be that hard to implement.

♥♥♥♥, didn't realize you posted a thread about it too, ha. I'll just paste mine here:

I don't understand why there isn't a way to toggle aiming down the sight rather than holding it. Being able to toggle aiming down the sight gives you more control over your mouse so you can relax your middle finger and hold the mouse easier on a target and etc.

The same goes for crouch toggle, my pinky hates you Garry. :rfacepalm:

Simple to hold a button. Complicated when you're not one of those hardcore fanatics that games on their toilet with a microwave nearby, and you need to crouch in a bush to go afk for a minute for your basic human needs, because your dumb ass lost your house and you have no friends nearby to watch you. My cell phone tends to work only 50 percent of the time and the other 50 slips off the keyboard. A sticky key type thing would be kinda nice, though on the back burner to alot of issues right now I suppose.

The sighting thing doesn't bother me much... I have a tendency to strafe to aim instead of relying on the mouse completely because I like to keep moving but I can see how some people's playstyle can benefit from a toggle.

Over 420 hours in Rust.
Doesn't know how to change keybinds.

I've never used my middle finger and/or right-click to aim. Never used my left pinky to crouch, either.

I have no issue with right-clicking to aim, I just want to be able to toggle it. Holding down the button is uncomfortable for me.

Why in the hell would I want to use a keyboard button to ADS? That would screw my mind up on all the other FPS games I play that allow me to toggle ADS with right-click...

I can't imagine it would be that hard of a feature to implement. It would really help with aiming and finger fatigue.

Agreed, not even an acknowledgement from the devs though; annoying...

Seems like not many people bring it up. Maybe if this thread gets some traction they'll notice.
Devoldo Feb 8, 2016 @ 10:41pm
We'll I'll damn well keep bumping it. Damn kids apparently like not having options...
Breaker Feb 10, 2016 @ 3:02pm
I'll bump this I guess.
Gaff Jun 27, 2017 @ 10:34pm
go to Options > secondary attack set something (for example E)

than go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\cfg

go to keys.cfg - open it in notepad

than go to: bind mouse1 "+attack2"
and change it to: bind mouse1 "attack2"
(remove + symbol)
this will set your Aim sights permanently to right mouse button. Than you need to set some DIFFERENT key to Reject sights. I use right mouse button to aim, and E button to reject. This is the only way so far.

Don't forget to save these changes in the notepad!
