The 4x scope is a terrible idea
Newer players had a hard enough time as it is guys, why would you give them an even bigger disadvantage? It really adds nothing to the game at a higher level and makes starting out even more difficult.

I think that the 4x scope is a beautiful idea man

I think they're going in the wrong direction with all of the newer items and weapons. The game is best when the advanced weapons and items aren't involved.

It's a nice idea, now you can kill them if they are too far.

What are you talking about? This is perfect. I hope they add a .50 Cal. next.

It makes sense, I can absolutely see why it's in the game. It fits. But it ruins any chance you have of being a lone player starting out and exploring or even with a friend. Now players who have been on the server for a few days or groups that can afford to get a scope and sit up in a tower they built have an advantage ten times( More like four times) beyond what they had before. It's so easy to headshot someone walking by now that a lot of the fun from ranged encounters is taken away.

Honestly I would have liked to see shields implemented instead. How can a new player possibly counter a scoped bolt action besides being lucky enough to just avoid anyone having one? What I enjoy about rust is that if you're skilled enough you can kill an AK with a spear but a scoped weapon makes that so much harder to do.

Skill is less of a part of the equation with this new item unless you also have one which makes sense in the way that's just the way that survival works, but it's not very fun in a video game.
