Item Skin Drops?

Forgive me if this is a common question. I haven't played this game in nearly a year.


After I finished testing out the game, I noticed I had a Rust item skin in my Steam inventory. "Green First Aid Box"<---a skin for the wooden box storage.

What did I do in game to earn it? How do you acquire more skins in Rust (other than purchasing)?

You get them randomly just from playing. I got one when I came back last week but haven't gotten anymore since.

Sadly, no. All we really know is as long as the game is running and you've joined a server, they can start dropping.

the more time you play the more things you do within the game. Everything you do adds up which allows you to unlock skins. Think of it as achievments.

lol first day i had it since they added skins i got a orange and white beenie and orange sweater since then its random .... i got a green beeni, a blue one, a black one, black seater, a box, gloves, and a bolty skin red and orange instead of scotch tape and wood coloured.
