Can't place foundation/build

I'm running my own private server hosted by uHostPro and everything is running fine except that the game will not allow me to place down a wood foundation, triangle or regular. I have 700 wood so I have enough resources to place it and also have the hammer and building plans in the hotbar. The foundation is colored red no matter where I try and put it.

The game is up to date. The server is up to date and has been restarted twice now.

I'm at a loss.

Did you ever find out how to fix? I'm in the same boat, private dedicated server, freshly installed, have all the required tools/plans/wood, can't build anywhere, foundations always red... :(

Yeah, apparently I was too close to something to build even though I thought I was in a good spot. I just kept walking away with the foundation out and it eventually turned green and allowed me to place it.

Moving away and coming back seemed to work! :)
I just got this randomly also, I didn't expect it.
