100% Disk Usage
So as the title says, whenever I open Rust I get 100% disk usage and my whole computer lags like hell even with everything set to low. What can I do to fix it?
Specs: i7-4720hq, 8gb RAM, GTX 860m, Windows 10

You could also have a memory leak. My svchost process was causing my pc to have stuttering while playing randomly. Found out windows update was trying to do something crazy and stopped it and it was fine. Just go to task manager and see what processes are using up the most processing and find out what services are causing it. Just right click on svchost and go to services and it should highlight which services are causing it. Just research whether you can stop the service or not before you crash your pc

Perhaps your RAM or GPU's RAM isn't fast enough or big enough to hold all of the details?

For what it's worth, I have 8GB DDR4 RAM and 2GB GDDR5 for VRAM and I notice 100% disk usage only when loading in (and reading game data from the disk)

rust in ssd using 100% disk and do not stop freezing

Well since you lack the RAM the extra needed resources are being written/read from your disk. Two parts scream small form factor/laptop to me, so you should be watching the temperature as well. If you have a slot for an SSD you should use the SSD for RUST, as well as being set as the page-file drive for the system.

I had the same issue until I added more RAM. I only had 8GB before. Now I have 16GB and it runs at 12.
