Keep Disconnecting
Hello everyone I started playing rust recently and everytime I play I disconnect after about 5-10 minutes. I have a pretty stable internet connection but for some reason Rust disconnects. It says connection timed out. I looked in the command console and it says "Disconnected (timed out) - returned to main menu. Streaming system overload - - deferring playback. FMOD Error: Operation could not be performed because specified sound/DSP connection is not ready."

If anyone knows why it keeps doing this or can help me out that'd be greatly appreciated.

Not that it's very difficult to solve, (sound / DSP is not ready ) this becomes you need to install the drivers from Realtek High Definition Audio, restart your computer and within 5 minutes the problem is over. me and tell me if I served a purpose .

yeah, that isn't the problem, I was getting it on a server, I reinstalled the OS on the server and the Rust server files, and booted it up without any other software on it, and it worked. It's because of an incompatibility in the game, with some kind of program.

Forgive friend, I was answering the issue in general and I'm pretty sure that the fault is that . Now I noticed in your question , who had not seen before. I 'll try to help a little. The first thing I'll say is that if you are using a Linux server with ubuntu you do with a 14.04 or 16.04 ( available yesterday ) , odd versions ( 13,15,17 ... ) are not stable and do not give long-term support plus they are not quite right . Second, the decision comes to be the same on Linux or Windows so that there will come the thing could be the typical problem of drivers in Linux. You are using the sound drivers that provides Linux ( free ) ? If so you can install the privative that will always work better. Discuss anything and if I can help you . A companion greeting. ( And sorry for the language but I have to use the translator ) .

I tried in both windows server and Ubuntu server ediiton, I found my problem to be Hamachi both times, since Hamachi gives the PC two IP's and the rust servers requests you set the one it must use, meaning you have to specify an IP and that isn't ideal because that is not how hamachi is designed to work, ergo the whole system will fail, I'm not sure why the audio part didn't work, I assume the domino effect of one thing breaking broke something else. It was an issue with the host server not the client on the game end,

Hamachi . And because you do not install the official server?
Wookiee 20 ABR 2016 a las 7:08 p. m.
No, I used the offical, oxide and linux ones, on both OSes. I have no idea why, it just really doesn't like Hamachi for me, I think it's a different problem for OP.

Same is happening here

I fixed it by lowering steam pings to servers and by putting official dns ip to rust servers
