Tried connecting to many servers (status:online) yet it keeps "Disconnect : timed out.
and with the latest update i can't play the game in full screen 1920X1080 anymore.
and it crashes whenever i close the game.. actually it shows "Not Responding" and i have to "End Task" it.
tried changing the version to "PreRelease" worked perfectly except it won't connect to any server because you will have to connect to the development server i guess.
and a whole day was wasted in that problem and i hope am not raided.
BTW same message appears too at disconnect
"Streaming system overload - - deferring playback. FMOD Error: Operation could not be performed because specified sound/DSP connection is not ready."
So anyone could know what is the issue?!
yet not sure.
Rust is still early access and bugs are being fixed, so i hope it get done soon.
I'm having this issue, and I can tell you its a server issue from what I can tell. I bought a new server for hosting a rust server for friends, and I can't connect. The server is a Linux based OS, running headless, as a server should, and all the components are installed. It worked on other servers but not this one, which is sad. My game on my laptop is fine, I can connect to other servers fine and ones hosted on the laptop (the laptop is quite powerful) so it must be a server issue.
*Laptop Specs*
CPU : I7-4710HQ
GPU : GeForce GTX-860m
RAM : 20GB DDR3-1600MHz
OS : Linux Mint 17.3
*Server Specs*
CPU : Core2 Duo E6700
RAM : 8GB DDR2 800MHz
OS : Ubuntu Server Edition 15.10
I tested it on more powerful and less powerful servers, both of those are xeon, so it might be the older nature of this re-purposed PC that has caused the issue. The other test machines ran Linux and windows server, so it isn't the Linux that causes it (for once Linux versions have as many bugs as windows) this is to be expected from Alpha's though.
