Free Clothing Skins?
I noticed that I somehow managed to get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for the Beanie (camo) and the boots (tan). Someone else I know somehow managed to get camo skin for pants. Neither one of us paid for these skins so there must be some way to earn them? Anyone know how?

You get a couple free random drops when you play for awhile, similar to CSGO. It's random so theres no telling when one will drop, it'll just happen when your playing.

There are four main ways to get rust skins
1. Play Rust from time to time and you will be awarded random skins. The amount of time you must play is still unknown.
2. Trade with other players for the skin that you want, maybe that other person has the two of the same skin that you want.
3. Buy them from the rust store, though they are somewhat expensive. The lowest price is 1.49$.
4. Buy them from the community market, I find this way much easier, since the community market has way more skins than the Rust store, and the lowest price is 0.06$.
These are the main ways to get Rust skins for now. Hopefully there is an easier way to get skins, like maybe a weekly prize that can give you ANY skin. Or maybe achievements that reward you with skins. Or maybe daily tasks. Hopefully this is implemented in the game.

I haven't had a drop since the last update. This may sound stupid, but I honestly have no idea. Does it have something to do with the server you play on, or is it just time logged on the game itself?

well guess what, there was never a time, apart from legacy, when skins didnt drop :) I got a high quality bag last week, and opened it and got the carbon facemask, sold it for 20 bucks :) Drops have always been in the game apart from legacy, doesnt matter what server, doesnt matter how long you have been on the server. Its random, You have to be actually playing though, you cant just sit at main menu...

Nah. Didn't think you could earn drops like cards. Figured you had to actually play. I was just wondering if some servers didn't apply to the drops. Prior to the last update I was getting drops daily. The Rust workshop updated today and I just got a box. I wonder if it had something to do with that.

Nope, just a coincidence, drops always have been implemented

It seems to be roughly one drop a week if you have a fairly average playtime. I think it's still based on playtime though, because sometimes the drop will come right after I boot up the game, and sometimes it's a couple hours into a session. I haven't played more than a few hours in the past two weeks and haven't gotten a drop, so I'm pretty sure it's based on playtime.
