Gamebanned for been legit?

Just wanted to let people know that my account got game banned for no reason. Was playing Rust when suddenly got banned and received that disgusting gameban mark on my profile. There is something broken in Facepunch/EAC and I really hope they find out and notice I didn't to anything wrong. Sorry to my Rust buddies. Don't wish this to happen to nobody. All my skins, hours and Rust friends are gone. Thank you Facepunch. Has this happened to someone or do you guys know if this has happened to LEGIT players?

Rust uses EAC for its anti-cheat. Not FacePunches fault and no one in the Steam user forum can help you. You need to make an appeal with EAC.

I know some people will not believe me but bro I don't even know where to buy cheats from... Over 3k hours and over 200e worth of skins to just suddenly start cheating? No man, not me. I will make an appeal to EAC, thank you for helping. Really hope none of you will experience this... Peace ✌🏻

they recently made a change to how cheaters are detected so maybe the ppl didn't update your cheats in time

Just got word that this is happening to other legit players after the update. These responses from other Rust players doesn't surprise me hehe. Hopefully they can look into this. Fingers crossed

Ya they don't ban legit players, updates are to help detect cheaters better those legit players like you deny any blame but hey avoid the ban spend money banned again to only continue the cycle...
