What’s the safest way to run this monument?

You need 25% radiation protection, that can be achieved with one metal part and not one more. So either go for chest or face for a metal/roadsign protection.

That gives you way more protection compared to hazzy suit. Certain combinations require you to have Tactical Gloves that can only be purchased in Outpost.

Other than that just get some reps and you'll figure out the spawns and possibilities. In terms of Ai there is one dangerous area and it's office to sleeping quarters and the stairs in between. Because that area is not as predictable you really have to be careful and fall back a lot if you get 2 of them to agro on you at the same time.

Figure out how far you need to fall back, for example they cannot go anywhere back from the office so you can use that server thingy in the hallway before the office to heal and reload in 100% safety.

That area should be played without crazy pushing, take your time, clear stuff, bait them properly one by one to deal with them. Rest of the silo is more straightforward and predictable.

If you are bringing a rifle you will likely need just that, but if you are bringing an SMG then you need 2. Because boys are tanky and smg's don't have enough durability to go through the entire monument. Bring some cloth with you and keep crafting bandages, bring a stack of corn/pumpkins to help with the healing.

It's probably best to have 2 guns, one rifle caliber and other pistol caliber to make best use of ammo drops. Because as I said, boys are tanky and you end up using a lot of ammo.
I think headshots are the only way not to suffer through Missile SIlo.

As for leaving the monument with loot, that's a gamble and a half since there's only one exit that's easy to camp. I often leave a car/horse at the exit, hop on/in and run. It's best to have a friend keeping an eye on it
