How the hell do you get them, i know on the steam market you can buy them for what 36 odd euro's ?! like hell i'm going to pay that much for a neon pack! how the hell did the people selling them get them in the first place?

someone do tell me before i explode.

RUST have it's own store in-game or you can check the game on steam and their front page you'll see every week it updates with new items. Neon sign was a Christmas event sale

They were 15 euros. Since it is festive item, facepunch made item, there is high chance that they will be reselling it next christmas. Until then, have someone craft you some ingame.

Edit: Originally I was also thinking of buying it with 30 euros or so but there are buy orders beyond that already... next christmas it is.

Just to clarify - it's not a limited use item where you can only craft 5 signs then need to buy it again. It's a permanent unlock for 5 variations of neon signs.

Others have answered everything else. It's not decided yet if it will come back for xmas or not.

Bots, family share accounts pushing prices to scam ppl. You can proof it itself by watching activitys on item over time, same names.

This is not a guarantee as could be said about other deployables that got released.

EDIT: Also, the community market is a scam, it is what it says it is, a community market. Supply and demand, simple economics, if only so many are in existence investors can purchase multiple and later sell when they are more in demand than the supply can handle. This caused the price to rise to its current and why you see the same name coming up, it's someone offloading their investment for a profit.
