Mate it's not my "friend", it actually is my friend. Not sure about you but at least I'm used to helping my friends if they have a problem. I already have 16GB myself so I'm not in trouble. But I want to play with my friend cause it's more fun that way.
And that's a problem that started a couple of months ago. Before that he had more like 6GB that Rust was using. Now it's capped at like 3.8GB and it's nowhere near enough to play properly. And if he had the money to buy more RAM I'm sure he'd have done that already.
So no need to be rude man.
Weirdly enough it was 16GB, even though he only has 8GB. Can that affect it negatively?
the paging file (virtual memory) is managed by windows and always set to double the amount of installed ram, so that is normal.
but as i said, the pc needs more ram... 8GB isnt enough.
