Yeah, the in-game guitar is Tier 1 so you have to research it. Thats the "nylon string" guitar.

The steel string guitar, AKA the red Jerry Can guitar is part of the music DLC and you dont need a Tier 1 bp for that.

You can find them pretty easily when youre out scrap farming though so if you went out for 20-30 minutes doing what you need to do anyway, im sure you would find one.

If you need any songs to play with it, I have a Steam guide and a pack of MIDI songs that right now has 5300 MIDIs in it, but in a few weeks I'll be updating it to over 10,000. www.rustmidi.com
