CRASHING ON ASSET WARM UP

I havent played rust in about 2 months and i went to fire it up the other day. Loads up the game fine. but when i load into a server it crashes on either asset warm up or spawning world. Cant figure out what the issue is. Tried multiple videos but nothing works. Would love any suggestions. thx

I haven't played in 2 years and i can get into enjoy your time! on the leading screen and nothing happens..... I too watched videos and even hard reset my pc to just have the only game on my steam or pc is rust there are many people having this problem

You can try reinstalling the game. The apparent memory needed to load up seems to have gone up. Most people with same issue have 16gb memory. Even now Afterburner is saying I am using over 25GB while its sitting in the background.

I have 16gb ddr4 and dont have any issues, its not the ram. i7 -9700 , 6950 xt , 144 fps most of the time at 1440p, some dips into the 120s

I have 16gb ddr4 and dont have any issues, its not the ram. i7 -9700 , 6950 xt , 144 fps most of the time at 1440p, some dips into the 120s

Good to know, noone seems to follow up with posts to say if they fix the issue. I also have a 9700 but with a 1650S, so I get 60fps at 1080. My system memory usage may be related to only 4 GB of video ram.

It cant be that last patch it has to be just you otherwise there would be many more complaints

Before you comment you should check how many peeps have this problem Facepunch is trash and they cant fix the game

I think vram is far more imprtant than ram tbh.

The game uses 14-15gb vram on my pc at 1440p

Having the same problem. PC freezing on spawning world when loading into a server. I've tried everything and can't find a fix.
