[HELP] (Solved) Cant join any server "Disconnected: EAC: Anti-cheat client protection not active (NullClient)"
I bought rust recently and I've been going insane. Dear reader, you might have seen this problem like a lot already but please help me.

When I try to open the game it works perfectly fine. But when I try to join a server I get Disconnected with this message: "EAC: Anti-cheat client protection not active (NullClient)".
I have already tried to open up "EasyAntiCheat_EOS_setup.exe", but it wont open. I have tried running it as admin, opening it in cmd and I have deleted it and verified integrity of the games files but nothing works.
I think the issue is just that I can not open this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ file.
I found a yt video that tells me to make a bat file, to install Epic Games online services or smth, i did that. But nothing changed.

I have had issues with EAC in the past but I dont remember why.
This has been driving me crazy.

Also when I open the file, it does open cmd for a split second.

i had same problem, solution?
Close the game.
Go to steam -> View -> Game Servers.
Search for Rust servers trough there and connect to server trough there.
Works perfect for me now

Option 1)

Open

Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\EasyAntiCheat

Locate the "EasyAntiCheat" folder and delete it

Then verify your game files which should re-install EAC.

Option 2)

open cmd prompt with admin privilege/powershell with admin & paste:

Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

wait until it’s finished & then

Sfc /Scannow

Also check for Windows and Driver Updates

The thing is, I already tried all those things too. But I guess I can try again.

Okay, I fixed it. Literally all I did was uninstall Epic Games and reinstall it. I have no idea why this worked but it worked. If I could've i would've uninstalled Epic Online Services (EOS) but my pc wouldn't let me lmao. But I can play the game now anyway! Only problem now is that my pc is to bad to play rust but thats a simple fix ofc :)
