I got a Game Ban and I've never cheated in Rust... Hear me out.

Before everyone tells me to just "learn how to play" or "don't cheat", I have never actually cheated. You might check my account and look at my bans, and it's true, I have got one other ban. But I think it was something like 2500 - 3000 days ago, I was honestly like 12 or something and got banned from "Unturned" because I downloaded some ESP hack to look cool for my friends.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm in a sticky situation. In short, I was hacked by some Chinese people, my recent logins were bouncing around multiple regions in China, and the hacker most likely played rust on my account with cheats and got me banned, because after I got access to my account again and changed all my passwords, I realised that I was game banned in rust.

I reached out to Facepunch for help and they essentially said "it's your responsibility to make sure your account is secure, and we will not lift your ban under any circumstance". I knew that if I made a new account and bought rust again I would be instantly banned because, in my understanding, all EAC bans are HWID bans.

However, I recently bought myself a new laptop and I was wondering if EAC will still ban me if i make a new steam account and only play on this laptop. Does anyone know if this would work for me, and if not, does anybody have any other suggestions?
(PS. I did not buy a whole new laptop just to play rust, I am not a degenerate)
