Now, you can sneak out your base in pitch black nighttime and run around the map and transfer loot or get to your body or get into a monument before sunrise and do it all without any way to see you.
The way it has always been, and the idea they copied from real life is - if you want to have the advantage of being able to do things at night, theres a risk involved.
That risk is no longer involved, and now all those items I listed have become halfway useless. There are still uses for them, but many of them are now gone.
Nakeds dont even need to turn their torch on to find your jump up to camp you. They can literally just appear at your door and the only way youd ever know is it you were there with a light on.
Moving around at night was something people did previously, but it took considerable skill. I was fairly good at it myself. You use a combination of the terrain you should have memorized previously along with zooming in on the map so you can see cliffsides, and then relying slightly on skylining and other techniques to feel the terrain out. Thats all gone now, completely removed, like so many other elements to this game that gave it the appeal it gave to us hardcore Rust lovers that stuck around long enough to help this game grow out of nothing. And now, feels like were being pushed out one update at a time.
@Metatron305 - Steam level 70. Feel free to find a problem with that. 13k hours in Rust. What do I know right?
so the new night makes them more emboldened to enact their plans that you can predict. you sit in your chosen close range spot with enough patience, you'lll hear them coming and they will think they are on even playing ground. with the new system you will actually gain better rewards with the new night dynamic than you wouldve before. the people that were just going to forego recycler runs because of danger, will now feel emboldened to do so during the night. more fish go in the net if ou got the nuts for it
