I feel like there should be an option to pick up and move all your tables and work benches and doors. Anything that you can move in real life should be moveble in the game.
I have a screenshot but cant upload it of me standing at a door with a hammer and the only two options are to Knock and to Open.
I've tried holding E with the hammer in hand and it brings up the menu with only those two options.
Left clicking attempts to repair it and right clicking does nothing.
So could you use any other words other than "use the hammer......." to explain how this proces works?
And to remove door u need to remove lock first 🙄
But as ting ting said, remove the lock first, otherwise it wont work.
Thanks to you both. I'll check it out next time I re-open Rust. Now is there any way to move workbenches, repair tables, fridge, anything else? I can't do that either.
FYI - I've had many issues with Rust that not everyone seems to have. For instance, my first week playing Rust, people kept telling me to do Shift+Tab to pull up a menu when I'd ask how to see who is online.
That never worked until randomly one day after I hit like the 200 hour mark. And now that the menu comes up, I can't see the tab (recent players) that other players describe to me as being available to them. Kinda frustrating after I've done a reinstall of both Rust and Steam after the recent wipe.
On a side note: I find it a little unrealistic that a door has to be open to be removed.
In real life it's the opposite. You want to start unscrewing the hinges from the bottom going up, while the door is closed so the door has the frame to rest on.
If you try to remove the hinges of a door with the door open, someone will have to hold on to the door the entire time, else it will start to crack the wood around the hinges with all that weight hanging on one less hinge each time until it's down to just 1. LOL
I just think they should allow you to remove a door in either position, but thanks again. That will probably be a fix tomorrow when I hop back on.
Some doors....lol. GTFO
