Rust stuttering consistently? (80+fps drops to 50)

so basically, I have all my setting on low pretty much and I have a RTX2060 intel core-i5 and 16 gigs of ram and I've tried so many things I'm ready to give up. It's so bad that it makes the game unplayable. the game will every now and then be really choppy and stutter and when it does it freezes the screen for about 2-3 seconds and makes the audio distorted. How ever when I look straight up nothing happens. Also 3 months ago it was working completely fine, but I wanted to start playing rust again and this happens. can anyone help me fix?

im going to try and help not garunteed this will work but try your settings like low latency mode put that on plus boost and view the integrety of files for rust that should help

Same here. Stuttering, periodic lag spikes across multiple servers. Played Rust for 6K+ hours first time I've seen this.

Its never been as smooth as now, never under 140fps on 1440p ultra settings. Good luck boiiis

We have the same PC Specs. Also experiencing the same thing. No thermal throttling whatsoever, yet it stutters so much.

i have already tried that multiple times and nothings changed. i even tried running rust as a priority on my computer it gave me more fps but still no change to the stuttering issue.

I'm expierincing the same issue, always been able to run rust on 100fps and more, now i have like 80 ish fps, but the game just keeps stuttering, and when that happens, the audio also gets distorted. Is there anyone that has a possible fix? BTW, when i alttab when rust is running, my pc lags really bad. This isn't an issue with other games like squad, R6, dayz, ...

My specs:
AMD radeon 6700xt
AMD ryzen 5 3600
16gb ram 3200Mghz
game is on a M.2 SSD

The fix is to set your virtual memory to SSD and buy a 12+gb vram gpu
